1962: Smufit Kappa Zedek is officially registered under the name Z. de Zeeuw Deventer B.V.
1971: Opening of own offset print shop.
1978: Z. de Zeeuw Deventer becomes part of Bührman Tetterode concern.
1980: The name changes to Zedek B.V.
1983: A production hall is built for laminating activities.
1987: Installation of the first Asitrade corrugator/laminator.
1988: All production activities are moved to the new hall at the other side of the street.
1995: Development of new European market strategy.
1996: Takeover of Belgian display manufacturer ‘Edwards’ in Drogenbos
1997: Takeover of Belgian packaging manufacturer ‘J. van Mierlo Proost’ in Turnhout.
1997: Establishment of sales office in Germany.
1998: Establishment of sales offices in England and France.
1998: Zedek becomes part of Kappa Packaging and is called Kappa Zedek
1999: Factory of Kappa Zedek is completely destroyed by fire
2000: Rebuilding of the factory and offices in Maagdenburgstraat in Deventer.
2002: The two Belgian companies are organisatinally separated from SK Zedek.
2005: Kappa Zedek becomes part of Smurfit Kappa Group and is named Smurfit Kappa Zedek.
2008 : Mr. P. Klein Sprokkelhorst retires being the managing director of the comapny for 25 years.
2008: SK Zedek, Van Mierlo and Drogenbos and their sales offices become LLC Benelux.
